And a little child shall lead them
(This Child was Seized by Atheist #Norway ‘s Infamous #Barnevernet on 16 November. She and her four siblings, including a nursing infant, have not been returned to their parents. UPDATE, 6 April: A Judge Ordered the Baby Be Returned. UPDATE: June–after 7 months in State custody, with very few visitations allowed, a hearing was granted and the other children have now been returned.)
My Great-great-grandparents Johnson journeyed from Ostre Toten and settled on the Dakota land that I now farm. Great Aunt Edna told me about accompanying them with the horse and buggy across the prairie to attend the church along the bluffs. Country churches still dot the landscape. I worship at Trondjhem Church. A few miles away stands Bergen Church.
The Giants in the Earth settled the land and faithfully built churches. That Christian faith lives on in many families, unlike in Norway, today, where “only two percent regularly attend services.” A majority remain members of the Lutheran Church. But as one eighteen-year-old said, “I’m 100% atheist. I’m still a member of the church, like most people.” Norway is now an atheist land, “the least religious country on earth.”
Their land has also been filled with silver and gold*,
And there is no end to their treasures . . .
Their land has been filled with idols.
They worship the work of their hands,
that which their fingers have made.
[*Black gold; unknown in Isaiah’s Day]
The stavkirker stand as soulless landmarks. Little light remains in the Land of the Midnight Sun. They spurn the Son of Righteousness. Their lives mock the sacrifice of the Son of God on the Cross for the sins of the world.
The spirit of anti-Christ cannot bear to see the Spirit of Christ, alive and well, in this land. As in Orwell’s 1984, all must serve Big Brother. Thus, when a school teacher was upset when a student sang a Christian song for her friends, the teacher rebuked her and punished her by forbidding any such songs.
Such heartless actions do not shock the silent citizens of Norway. Newspeak suffocates sympathy and explains: “Freedom is Slavery.”
We all must choose the master whom we will allow to rule us. Will it be the spirit of anti-Christ or the Spirit of Christ?
True freedom flows from becoming, in the words of the Apostle Paul, “a slave of Jesus Christ.”
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name . . .For God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil. –John
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.”
And let him who hears say, “Come.”
And let him who is thirsty come,
let him who desires take
the free gift of the water of life. (Rev. 22)
